faculty-facing informative webpage The goal of this project was to develop a faculty-facing informative webpage designed to educate the faculty of Touro University on the various uses and limitations of generative AI in higher education. However, I must highlight that those developing this webpage were specifically mandated to not provide faculty with any kind of direction in terms of how they should or shouldn't allow their students to utilize generative AI, due to the university's policies on these aspects of generative AI use still being in development at the time. Unfortunately, clarification/guidance on student use of generative AI were what most faculty members desired from any informative content focused on this technology. In order to overcome this challenge, the team of instructional designers collaborating on this project, including myself, decided to focus on creating a webpage that was both extremely informative and concise, ensuring faculty could quickly obtain a succinct understanding of generative AI. Essentially, this would allow faculty to obtain a strong enough understanding of generative AI to be capable of making informed decisions on its use until such time as a university wide policy on the technology was established. As of my departure from Touro University, this project was still in development.
